Before You Start

Confirm that:

• Team member skills are maintained.
• Job roles are configured.
• Capacity and allocations are up to date.
• The project and task are clear.
• You have permission to assign resources or tasks.

Steps

1. Open the project or task that needs staffing.
2. Review required skills, role, priority, and due date.
3. Open Resources or the project team area.
4. Filter team members by skill, role, availability, and capacity.
5. Compare utilization and existing assignments.
6. Select the best available person.
7. Assign the person to the task or project.
8. Review workload impact.

What Makes a Good Match

Prefer a person who has:

• Direct skill match.
• Suitable job role.
• Available capacity.
• Relevant project or customer experience.
• No conflicting high-priority assignments.
