Global Search and Command Bar
Global search helps you quickly find records across TDCFlow without opening each module.
Navigation
Use the search box in the app header. Results are grouped by record type and open the matching page or detail view.
What Search Covers
Search can return:
- Accounts.
- Contacts.
- Projects.
- Tasks.
- Team members and resources.
- Invoices.
- Credit notes.
- Expense reports.
- Semantic matches from indexed records.
Keyword Search
Keyword search is best when you know the exact name, number, email, or title.
Examples:
Support SubscriptionINV 0006Medicaleshopfrontend task
Semantic Search
Semantic search is best when you remember the concept but not the exact wording.
Examples:
projects at risk because of capacityinvoice reminder for overdue customertask about automation canvascredit issued for billing correction
Semantic results show a short snippet and link to the record. The result may not use the same words you typed if the meaning matches.
Search Scopes
Some search experiences let you narrow results by scope, such as projects, tasks, accounts, contacts, invoices, credit notes, expenses, or resources.
Use a scope when:
- A broad search returns too many results.
- You know the record type.
- You want faster selection inside Copilot proposal forms.
Search in Copilot
AI Copilot can use search to find records before answering or drafting actions.
Good prompts:
- "Open the Support Subscription project."
- "Brief me about Medicaleshop."
- "Find invoice INV 0006."
- "Create a task in the project about automation builder canvas."
When a prompt mentions a specific record, Copilot should resolve the record first and then show the right navigation action or proposal fields.
Tips
- Use invoice and credit note numbers when available.
- Use the customer name when searching for contacts or invoices.
- Use specific project or task words for semantic matches.
- If multiple records match, open the safest match or refine the search.
