Expenses
Expenses capture project or client-related spend. They may be reimbursed, billed to clients, or used for cost tracking.
Navigation
Open Expenses from the main sidebar, or go to /expenses.
Expense Entries and Reports
An expense entry records an individual spend item. An expense report groups entries for submission and approval.
Common fields include:
- Date.
- Amount and currency.
- Category.
- Project or account.
- Billable status.
- Receipt.
- Description.
- Approval status.

Common Workflows
Submit an Expense
- Open Expenses.
- Add expense details.
- Attach receipt if required.
- Select project/account.
- Mark billable if the cost should be billed to the client.
- Submit for approval when ready.
Approve an Expense Report
- Open Approvals or Expenses.
- Review amount, category, receipt, and project.
- Approve, reject, or return based on policy.
Approval Rules
Only pending expense approvals should be approved, rejected, returned, or reassigned. Approved and rejected requests are final unless your organization uses an adjustment or reversal process.
